Meet Becky Carlson
Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I have an affinity for the outdoors, a love of culture and an appreciation for life. I believe that all people are worthy and deserving of kindness. As a counselor it is my absolute privilege to join you on your personal journey to overcome challenges. I consider therapy a partnership where clients are in charge of their process, and I am but a resource.

Each of our stories are unique to us as individuals. It is my main goal in therapy to help clients identify their personal needs, make goals and find solutions to achieve these goals. My approach is one of empathy and kindness. I listen to and encourage clients.
I challenge and motivate them. All with kindness. I have experience working with men and women of a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. My experience includes individuals dealing with a range of issues such as: life transitions, relationships, trauma and grief and loss to name a few. I am open to working with clients from any background including first responders.

Typical approaches to therapy I use are: solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and person-centered therapy among others. However, therapy is an individual experience, and as such sessions are tailored to the individual client and their needs at the time. My hope is that my clients have a safe place to feel seen and heard with the idea that, through support, challenges can be met and overcome.
